Exhibition Manager – Main purpose of the job

The exhibition manager will be responsible as the primary client contact for the successful sales, planning, coordination, booking and delivery of all exhibitors at their respective shopping mall.

The scrutiny and acceptance of the exhibition stands will be based on the exhibitions matching the public and brand image of the shopping mall.

Client has also recently been awarded the rights to also manage the Kiosks (semi-permanent tenants) and Pop-Up tenants. The Exhibition manager will be given this added portfolio.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Take in-bound sales calls enquiring about the court space
  • Send the relevant rate card and marketing information and questionnaire related to the exhibition courts
  • Sell and book the court space subject to final mall approval
  • Meet with Mall Marketing manager twice a week to motivate each booking for approval
  • Conduct on-site inspections with client’s as a part of the sell as there are multiple sizes of exhibition courts in various locations
  • Have an up-to-date understanding of availabilities and bookings of the exhibition courts
  • Offer solutions in line with client requirements and facilitate requirements with third party suppliers including flooring, tables, pot plants and other decorative requirements
  • Use any opportunities to upsell the court to also include media and advertising in the mall
  • Work closely with the national sales team to determine the sales strategy
  • It is expected that the Exhibitions coordinator will be making direct sales meetings with prospective exhibitors in the primary catchment area of the mall – ideally to bring to them to the mall to meet
  • Work closely with the central admin team who are in place to try and reduce the amount of administration required
  • Coordinate the exhibitor arrival/set-up and strike schedules working closely with the floor manager/maintenance team based in the mall

Reporting to the Sales and Operations Manager of the Mall Exhibition business as well as working closely with the mall marketing team, you will

  • Partner with existing businesses, identify areas of opportunity to further develop mutually beneficial relationships that drive business performance,
  • Cultivate new business opportunities by actively engaging your stakeholder network to tailor bespoke exhibitions, themed exhibitions and shows and Expos (with a team) where required
  • Collaboratively manage exhibition operations for your key accounts ensuring services are delivered and expectations met,
  • Build strategic networks
  • Maintain accurate CRM information.
