“Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings” – Salvador Dalí
The Cambridge Dictionary defines a Go-Getter as
“someone who is very energetic, determined to be successful, and able to deal
with new or difficult situations easily.” Becoming a Go-Getter involves three
simple steps: the first is setting a goal, the second involves taking the steps
that will guide you to achieving your goal, and the third involves reaching the
goal. All the characteristics of a Go-Getter are not found in one individual,
but does require constant work from every individual.
Here are a few simple tips on becoming a Go-Getter:
·
Create a VISION
for your life
·
BELIEVE in yourself and
remember the challenges you have already overcome
·
Find a way to combine your PASSIONS into your work
·
Decisions should be STRATEGIC and well thought out
·
PROCRASTINATION is the biggest
obstruction to becoming a Go-Getter
·
It is important to be DISCIPLINED and show up everyday
·
CELEBRATE each victory or
step achieved along the way no matter how small
·
Your SUPPORT
system should consist of like-minded people
·
Be COURAGEOUS
and face the unknown
·
Don’t QUIT,
especially if your goal includes something you love
·
FAILURE should be welcomed
and considered as useful feedback
